The toolbook is a concise operational document aimed at providing value chain practitioners with an easy to follow set of tools for value chain analysis, focused on poverty reduction.

The toolbook is now a living document updated on a continuing basis.  To support this, the toolbook is hosted on a wiki website, a collaborative website workspace where multiple people can edit together and collaborate.

What are the benefits of contributing?
As a Collaborating Editor you are part of an online community of value chain analysis practitioners. 

How do I become a Contributing Editor?
Simply register as a part of the valuechains4poor community and indicate that you would like to be a Contributing Editor.

Now that I’m registered how do I contribute?
Once you have registered as a contributor, you can then edit any page in the Wiki. You begin by clicking on the "Edit Page" button at the top of the particular wiki page (see image below).


You can create new pages by clicking on the "New Page" button. If you are creating a new Tool, please use the Tool Template that is provided as a starting point.

How do I make comments and discuss a page?
We follow Wikipeida Guidelines on multiple edits of a page. See Guidelines on Edit Wars. In general, if you find that another contributor has changed your edits, then please discuss the changes on the Comments Page by clicking on the "Comments" Button (see image below) before changing the content back. See Guidelines on Wikipedia Talk Pages.


The purpose of the Comment Page is to provide space for contributors to discuss changes to the associated page, without making changes to the page before a concensus is reached.
